Your best bet would be to look for second-hand copies if you want to do it the legal way.However, because EA has stopped selling The Sims and is seemingly neglecting the game, I would recommend just downloading it from somewhere. It is certainly very charming graphics-wise, though it has very limited options for changing the resolution. Gameplay is fun, but also quite challenging compared to newer games.
