Once you’ve completed Persistent Pests, you’ll get a short cutscene when you return to Astera, and the second slot will open.The second quest opens up later in the game when you’re granted access to seven star optional quests. This time the quest is called “Talons of Ire and Ice”, and is rather a lot tougher than the last one.

Here, you have to hunt a high-rank Legiana and Odogaron in the same quest.Completing this hunt will earn you the last farming slot in the Botanical Research Center.It’s also one of the only places you can get important crafting materials like, which is used in the King Beetle and Butterfly armor sets.
